The University of South Australia and the University of Adelaide are working together to create a new Adelaide University that will make transformational investments in teaching, learning, research and innovation at scale for South Australia and beyond.

The University of Adelaide Learning Enhancement & Innovation (LEI) team and the UniSA Teaching Innovation Unit (TIU), will collaboratively create and lead Course Development Support Teams. These Teams, comprised of Curriculum and Education Developers, Learning Designers, and Media specialists, are tasked with supporting Course Developers in developing courses for the new Adelaide University. 

We are looking for multiple Course Builders who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team and possess the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You are a quick learner with a high level of attention to detail, exceptional organisational and time-management skills, can adapt to change and have an ability to rapidly learn and apply new digital tools to a high standard. 

The Course Builders will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and enhancement of courses for the new Adelaide University. This role will assist in building interactive, media-rich, and scenario-based learning activities and resources within the learning management system (Canvas), ensuring alignment with Adelaide University's learning and media guides.  Training will be provided, but a strong aptitude for quickly mastering digital tools is essential.

 To be successful you will need:

  • Familiarity with using a learning management system. 
  • Basic proficiency in using technology tools and a willingness to learn and stay current with emerging educational technologies. 
  • High level verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders. 
  • Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Strong attention to detail.
