Capital Projects and Facilities Management is responsible for the delivery of infrastructure projects and the provision of facilities management and support services across the University’s property portfolio to support the University’s core learning, teaching, research and administration activities. In this context, the portfolio ensures that the University enjoys maximum benefits as a result of the continued and prioritised delivery of high-quality capital, minor and planned maintenance projects within University’s Facilities Investment Plan and the delivery of Facilities management services.
Capital Projects Delivery is responsible for leading the successful delivery of the University’s Facilities Investment annual capital works programme (with the exception of Major Projects), for an extensive and multi-disciplinary estate. In this context, the position ensures that the University enjoys maximum benefits because of the continued and prioritised delivery of high-quality capital, minor and planned maintenance projects.
The Capital Projects team within the Portfolio is responsible for overseeing the delivery of diverse and complex building projects up to the value of $15 million with a Financial Investment Plan (FIP) budget ranging between $30M - $70M annually.
The Project Manager is responsible for the project management / delivery of Facilities Investment Projects into the University environment in accordance with governance, contracts, time, cost, quality and annual programme requirements.
To be successful you will need:
- Extensive experience in delivering predominately services intense infrastructure projects through entire project life cycle.
- Experience in the project management of complex services and building projects within the building and construction utilising different procurement models.
- Demonstrated Stakeholder Management experience in diverse organisations.
- Extensive knowledge relating to the project management of capital works projects.
- Demonstrated commitment to a customer service culture.
