(Level C) $135,388 to $155,696 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

This is a full-time Level C continuing position, commencing in February 2025.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Lecturer (Level C) in the area of Physiotherapy to join the School of Allied Health Science and Practice, within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to delivering our innovative Physiotherapy teaching and research programs with our inclusive, future-focussed team.

The successful candidate will bring their skill, creativity and experience in developing and delivering education materials for the Physiotherapy Program and will play a pivotal role in teaching and research/scholarship at The University of Adelaide. The candidate will additionally contribute to the operational delivery of the Physiotherapy program and broader activities within the School of Allied Health Science and Practice and Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.

To be successful in a Teaching and Research position, applicants will need:

  • Completion of a PhD in the relevant discipline, or have equivalent qualifications and be eligible for Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience in curriculum development, coordination and delivery as this relates to Physiotherapy or broader allied health programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others in the delivery of high-quality course design, and in the delivery of high-quality student-centred teaching at an undergraduate level that includes the capacity to incorporate new technologies and new approaches to teaching and learning.
  • Supervision of honours or postgraduate research projects and experience in liaising and promoting research links with external bodies.
  • Demonstrated academic and management leadership skills, including the ability to mentor less senior academic, research and professional staff, and demonstrated commitment to professional activity.
  • Extensive track record or high-quality research activity and outputs relative to opportunity and demonstrated commitment to professional activity.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the professional development of self and activities that support the Physiotherapy profession.

To be successful in a Teaching Focussed position, applicants will need:

  • Completion of a PhD in the relevant discipline, or have equivalent qualifications and be eligible for Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience in curriculum development, coordination and delivery as this relates to Physiotherapy or broader allied health programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others in the delivery of high-quality course design, and in the delivery of high-quality student-centred teaching at an undergraduate level that includes the capacity to incorporate new technologies and new approaches to teaching and learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and build effective relationships and partnerships in an academic setting.
  • Demonstrated academic and management leadership skills, including the ability to mentor less senior academic, research and professional staff, and demonstrated commitment to professional activity.
  • Demonstrated development and delivery of high-quality education research or scholarship, for example through implementing evaluation of curriculum and student learning outcomes and/or other quality improvement processes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the professional development of self and activities that support the Physiotherapy profession.
