(HEO8) $110,291 - $123,734 salary scale per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Fixed term, full time position available until 31st December 2025

The University of Adelaide is a leading research intensive and teaching university. The Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics (ABLE) comprises seven schools and a number of discipline specific research centres, encompassing business, law, economics, music, education, humanities and social sciences. The School Business Manager is responsible for the delivery of business acumen for the Faculty and Schools. The School Business Manager is also responsible to work in partnership with administrative teams and the Faculty Functional Managers to support the delivery of a broad range of services, including overseeing of budget, infrastructure, reporting, HS&W compliance with policy and procedures, mitigation of operational risks and quality assurance to support the Faculty Executive Director and Heads of School.

To be successful you will need: 

  • Demonstrated experience in providing sound strategic advice, including preparation of reports, including the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of current management practices and principles of human resources, HSW, financial reporting and student administration
  • Demonstrated experience in leading an administrative staff in delivering client centric services and managing change and transition processes
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and influencing cultural change to positively impact service delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client centric results

Qualification/s:

  • Postgraduate qualifications (or progress towards) and extensive relevant experience or; a degree qualification in accounting and/or business management with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent combination of relevant experience and or education / training.
