Professor, Indigenous Learning and Teaching (Level E) 
 
(Level E) From $215,774 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.
  • Based in the Adelaide University Indigenous Portfolio in the Adelaide CBD   
  • Full-time, 5-year fixed term contract, open to Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples only

 Position overview

Reporting to Pro Vice Chancellor, Indigenous Education, the Professor, Indigenous Learning and Teaching will provide senior academic leadership in Indigenous learning and teaching, prioritising the development and implementation of the new Indigenous Common Core course as a key pillar of the University’s Indigenous Academic Strategy, in alignment with the University’s Indigenous Strategic Plan. This position will provide a senior Indigenous academic perspective to the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of high-quality Indigenous Learning and Teaching strategies including the Indigenisation of curriculum across undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Key requirements

  • A commitment to ongoing learning, demonstrated by a ​PhD​, ​in the relevant discipline, with advanced foundational discipline-based research and a national and international record of achievement
  • Proven leadership experience in Indigenous learning and teaching
  • Proven experience in leading a team capable of developing curriculum and strategic initiatives
  • Strong ability to build and support productive relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated innovation in teaching methodologies and academic excellence. 
  • Experience in strategic planning and managing complex projects effectively
  • Commitment to enhancing student support, engagement, and overall success 
  • Ability to foster research-based and evidence-based learning activities within an academic setting
