The Graphic Design and Communications Officer works as part of the Communications and Engagement team to create and implement University-wide and Infrastructure-specific communication and engagement materials for projects, events and information campaigns.
The Graphic Design and Communications Officer works to deliver the communications, design and engagement collateral and activity required for the development, construction and launch of infrastructure projects. Working with colleagues in the Communications team, the role works to provide the University community, providing information and opportunities to be part of the development of infrastructure projects that result in improved learning, teaching and research outcomes. The position assists Infrastructure’s project managers and space planners to achieve these outcomes, as well as student and staff groups on related projects and events.
To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
- Proven experience in designing effective communications and marketing collateral for a range of audiences on a limited budget to inspire and motivate understanding and behaviour change using the Adobe suite, particularly InDesign as well as Microsoft applications including PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience in developing and coordinating communications activities and events.
- The ability to work effectively on a range of different projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated excellent customer services skills and commitment to a customer service culture.
