(Level D) $168,146 - $184,955 salary scale per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

(Level C) $140,127- $161,145 salary scale per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

The University is seeking an Associate Professor or Senior Lecturer to provide leadership in academic and research areas of Architecture and/or Architectural Science within the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, in the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology.

The Associate Professor or Senior Lecturer is expected to make a significant contribution to all activities of the organisational unit or interdisciplinary area and play a significant role within their profession or discipline.

Selection Criteria to please address for Associate Professor (Level D)
To be successful you will need:

  • A PhD in Architecture or a related area of Architectural Research.
  • Established undergraduate and postgraduate level teaching skills including design studio teaching, course coordination, supervision and mentoring.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness and leadership in curriculum development with a proven commitment to excellence in teaching and use of innovative teaching methods and materials.
  • An established international reputation for research within the discipline area including successful funding, outstanding outputs, HDR supervision to completion.
  • Demonstrated design ability with distinctive and innovative design practice projects including capacity to link disciplinary knowledge of architecture with natural systems and work across a range of scales and disciplines.
  • Proven ability to build sustainable relationships with a range of community and industry partners and evidence of the ability to promote research links with outside organisations.
  • Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, potentially demonstrated through contribution to community and culturally inclusive architecture education.

Selection Criteria to please address for Senior Lecturer (Level C)
To be successful you will need:

  • A PhD in Architecture or a related area of Architectural Research.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness and leadership in curriculum development with a proven commitment to excellence in teaching and use of innovative teaching methods and materials.
  • A developing research track record with evidence such as recent, sustained quality research outputs, supervision of Higher Degree by Research students, research income and publication outputs.
  • Demonstrated design ability with distinctive and innovative design practice projects including capacity to link disciplinary knowledge of architecture with natural systems and work across a range of scales and disciplines.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning.
  • Proven ability to build sustainable relationships with a range of community and industry partners and evidence of the ability to promote research links with outside organisations.
  • Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, potentially demonstrated through contribution to community and culturally inclusive architecture education.
