The Adelaide Medical School is the largest school in the University, providing a world-class innovative, collaborative learning environment for students studying translational medicine and research. Adelaide Medical School showcases a vibrant research and research training environment made up of a large team of academics and titleholders, both clinical and nonclinical. The Adelaide Medical School encompasses the departments of Medical Sciences, Medical Specialties, Surgical Specialties and Women’s and Children’s Health.
Working under general direction, the Research Officer provides individual dietary counselling and lifestyle advice to participants enrolled in a number of clinical trials and providing technical support to the team to ensure integrity of the dietary information provision.
To be successful you will need:
- Extensive experience in individual dietary counselling
- Evidence of advising of health diet and weight loss
- Proficiency in clinical trials for medical research
- Familiarity with laboratory management and safety procedures
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines with an ability to prioritise tasks
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
Desirable:
- Knowledge of scientific and medical terminology
- Experience working with women of reproductive age including pregnant women in clinical trials
- Qualified Dietician
Qualification/s:
- Completion of a relevant degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
This position requires a valid Working with Children Check
