Fixed-term, full-time 41 month contract available 

The Centre for Sustainable Operations (CSORSC) holistic and integrated approach to supply chain management brings together advanced modelling, artificial intelligence, big data, machine learning, engineering, policy, geopolitics, ethics, economics, and systems design to develop end-to-end value chain solutions that minimise environmental impact and maximise competitiveness.

Working under limited direction, the Centre Manager will be responsible for managing the research, stakeholder engagement and administrative operations of the Centre, including any reporting requirements, managing the budgets, facilitating and fostering industry collaborations and communications. The Centre Manager will work closely with the Centre Director and Deputy Director to drive the development of the research program and increase the scientific and public profile and research reputation of the Centre by organising presentations, seminars, and workshops.

To be successful you will need:

  • Experience in all aspects of project management, with a proven record of successfully managing research or technical projects through to completion

  •  Demonstrated experience working in a research/technical environment, including supporting research activities, and preparation and submission of project reports

  •  Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team and to develop collaborative teams working in both academic and commercial environments

  • Excellent technical writing skills with experience in writing for various audiences across a range of media, and managing web-sites and social media

  • Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with experience establishing priorities, allocating resources and meeting deadlines
