(HE04) $71,460 - $78,326 plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Part-time (0.4 or 0.6 FTE) continuing position.

This position is responsible for assisting with coordinating and preparing the dental simulation clinic for use.

This includes providing support to academic staff and students in the dental simulation clinic to ensure effective, safe and hygienic laboratory practices. Monitoring, assisting and providing technical support with the use of equipment This position works closely with the Senior Lab Teaching Support Officer, to deliver simulation classes designed for users to acquire and develop skills and knowledge required for dental practice, within the schools’ undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development programs.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in infection control and sterilization of laboratory tools and dental apparatus, abiding by occupational health and safety procedures.
  • Demonstrated administrative ability to manage competing demands in an organised manner.
  • Good communication skills with demonstrated experience liaising with a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated high level of problem-solving skills, making decisions towards the achievement of effective outcomes with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality systems and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement processes which support student learning and experience.
  • Completion of a Diploma qualification or relevant work experience in a laboratory environment, or 5 years Dental Assistant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
