Join the prestigious University of Adelaide as a Senior Cyber Security Analyst and be part of a leading institution renowned for innovation and excellence in research and teaching.

As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the University's digital assets and ensuring the security of teaching, learning, and research data across all campuses.

Working within the IT Architecture and Information Security Department, you will proactively monitor security alerts, perform vulnerability scans, and respond swiftly to security incidents. Your expertise will also contribute to the development of junior security staff and foster a security-aware culture across the University.

This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of cyber security, working with state-of-the-art tools and technologies, and engaging with a vibrant community of over 25,000 students and 3,500 staff members. You will have the chance to influence the University's cyber security strategy and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, including IP networking and security tools.
  • Extensive experience in information security threats and preventive/detective techniques.
  • Ability to write program code in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven track record of providing insightful advice and guidance to senior executives.

  • Police criminal records check required.

Qualifications:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in information security fields.
