The School of Psychology seeks to appoint a registered, Psychology Board of Australia-approved supervisor with an endorsement in any area of Psychology to a balanced (teaching and research) role. The successful applicant will hold a PhD in Psychology and demonstrate a developing publication track record in an area of research relevant to one of the School’s main research themes:  health and wellbeing, human cognition and performance, lifespan development, social and cultural dynamics, and education and meta-research. They will teach predominantly in our Masters programs, including oversight of student placements and research project supervision.

The School of Psychology offers students a range of accredited pathways, both on campus and online, to becoming a psychologist. At postgraduate level, the School is unique in South Australia in offering three professional Masters programs leading to registration as a Psychologist (Clinical, Health and Organisational and Human Factors).

The School is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic staff member to contribute to the development of its teaching methods and offerings. The School also wishes to strengthen its research performance and capacity and is especially keen to continue to evolve in translational, interdisciplinary and industry-related research, to attract funding and improve impact.

To be successful you will need: 

• A PhD or equivalent higher academic qualification in Psychology.
• Registration as a Psychologist, and Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical, Health or Organisational Psychology.
• Approved as a Supervisor with AHPRA, or willing to obtain approval.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in the preparation and delivery of lectures and workshops as well as marking and assessment activities; and a commitment to excellence in teaching in Psychology with an applied focus.
• Demonstrated experience in innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
