Are you ready to make a significant impact within a prestigious institution? We're seeking a Senior Application Specialist to join the Information Technology and Digital Services Branch at the University of Adelaide. As a key member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our ERP systems, contributing to the university's mission of excellence in research and teaching.

As a Senior Application Specialist, you'll be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our PeopleSoft ERP systems, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our university community. You'll have the opportunity to apply your expert knowledge to implement innovative solutions and provide strategic support to key stakeholders. This role offers a dynamic environment where you'll collaborate with internal and external partners, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and drive the use of emerging technologies to enhance our online applications.

You'll be part of a dedicated team committed to promoting integrity, respect, and excellence in all endeavours. Your role will involve managing diverse stakeholders, troubleshooting system issues, and participating in projects to deliver quality solutions. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment. To be successful you will need:

  • Extensive experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining PeopleSoft ERP systems.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and in performance tuning PeopleSoft ERP systems.
  • Experience in management of a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaborative work practices.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft application development an advantage.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems, WebLogic or job tracking software desirable.
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies is desirable.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification at Bachelor level or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Australian National Police Check is a mandatory requirement to be obtained prior to commencing in this position.
