The University of Adelaide is seeking a research fellow to support the ongoing research activities in the area of Educational Technology in the School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences. The successful candidate will be a researcher in the use of technology to support cognitive and meta-cognitive skills of students while they participate in a technology-mediated learning experience.

In January 2026, the teams of academics in the disciplines of Computer Science and Information Technology of the foundation universities will join in a new School of Computer Science and Information Technology. The joint team’s research strengths include artificial intelligence, cyber security, human centered computing, enterprise systems, software systems, and computer science education. The team is committed to promote high-quality research activities in these areas.
To be successful you will need:
- PhD in Educational Technology (in the final stages), or equivalent qualification
- Emerging record of research excellence in educational technology with recent high-quality publications and plans for future research
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research independently and contribute to the preparation of competitive grant applications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Ability to work as part of a team and to lead and motivate other team members
- Ability to carry out administrative duties, as directed by the Head of School, effectively and efficiently
- Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the School community
