Opportunity to work within Adelaide Health Simulation the most technologically advanced simulation facility in Australasia, and the only Australian simulation facility accredited with the Society for Simulation in Healthcare for excellence in learning and teaching delivering simulation-based inter-professional training designed to enhance quality in healthcare delivery.
The Simulation Technician role will assist in the delivery for simulations and exams to multiple schools within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.
Working under the direction of the Senior Simulation Technician, the Simulation Technician plays a critical role in the day-to-day operation of Adelaide Health Simulation, maintaining specialised equipment, providing training, guidance and support to simulation co-ordinators, administration, academics and students, ensuring health and safety rules and regulations are implemented.
The position is expected to coordinate and operationalise advanced simulation-based education technology, troubleshoot, maintain, and perform advanced repair of complex high fidelity manikins, simulation centre management software, virtual and immersive visualisation technologies and other enterprise level software and hardware solutions.
To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrate basic understanding of Information Technology and networks including an interest in technology.
- Demonstrate experience or an understanding of working in a healthcare education environment.
- Demonstrate experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client centric results.
- Demonstrate knowledge of stock control using a database coupled with strong administrative skills.
- Demonstrate experience in managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Ability to develop and implement processes and plans to achieve defined outcomes and solve problems in an innovative and creative manner.
