Full-time | Continuing position for an Assistant Research Funding Officer.

Research Services provides professional staff support services to the University’s Research community in relation to a range of research funding opportunities, research administration, applications and awards, research ethics, compliance and integrity management, research contract management and research related reporting and collections and general and strategic advice to researchers and research leaders.

Working under general direction, the Assistant Research Funding Officer provides a range of research administrative support services to the teams within Research Services with a particular focus on research project delivery.

Duties include data entry in relation to the University’s research activity, providing routine administrative functions to support research projects, monitoring generic email inboxes, assisting with the production of standard reports, filing, and drafting standard correspondence.

 

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in office practices, data entry, use of databases, email and retrieving information from websites.
  • Demonstrated experience with data entry and use of databases.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain work accuracy.
  • Some understanding of the organisation and funding of research and of related structures and processes in a research-oriented University (desirable).
