Are you passionate about delivering exceptional administrative support and fostering academic excellence? Join our team as an Admissions Officer at The University of Adelaide and play a pivotal role in supporting our research students’ journeys.

The Adelaide Graduate Research School (AGRS), part of the Division of Research and Innovation, oversees approximately 2,500 research students, managing admissions, scholarships, and thesis examinations. We provide industry engagement opportunities, skills training, and support to nurture world-class research and innovation.

The Admissions Officer is responsible for the assessment of admission and scholarship applications for postgraduate research programs including the communication of relevant decisions and associated requirements to applicants as well as internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities also include contribution to development and review of policies, rules and processes as well as the efficiency of the University’s postgraduate research application system(s) and associated databases.

 

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated high level organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage work.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply relevant policies and procedures.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage and complete diverse tasks within a pressured environment.
  • Proven interpersonal and negotiating skills to work constructively as part of a team and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Experience in graduate research administration and/or admissions is highly desirable.
