(Level A) $78,544 - $105,611 or (Level B) $111,031 - $131,335 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation will apply.

An opportunity exists for an Associate Lecturer and/or Lecturer to join the teaching and clinical placement and supervision team of the postgraduate Counselling and Psychotherapy programs.

The postgraduate Counselling and Psychotherapy programs have seen a recent marked increase in student numbers. The programs, including the newly accredited trauma specialisation, were recently re-accredited by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia and the Australian Counselling Association.

We are seeking to fill up to 0.6FTE and the successful applicant(s) will join a dedicated, supportive team of clinical educators. In this role you will coordinate and teach into courses, and secure student placements in professional and community agencies. Clinical supervision may include travel to specific clinical placement sites in Adelaide and suburbs.

To be successful you will need:

Level A/B requirements, depending on experience

  • Postgraduate qualifications in a discipline relevant to the program and professional counselling experience
  • A qualification as a Clinical Supervisor recognised by either the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) or the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), or eligibility to be a Clinical Supervisor
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, or workshops, as well as marking and assessment activities
  • Demonstrated skills, experience, and qualifications in the provision of individual and group supervision of client-counsellor counselling practice
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including but not limited to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, CALD communities, neuro-diverse individuals, and LGBTQIASB+ clients
  • Oversee all aspects of the student placement experience
