(HE07) $98,343 - $109,989 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Full time, fixed term contract available until January 2026.

Working under limited direction, the Faculty International Advisor (Global Partnerships) is responsible for contributing to and facilitating activities related to the implementation of the Faculty of Science, Engineering & Technology’s international strategic initiatives, with a particular focus on managing transnational education initiatives, articulation agreements, and Faculty missions to key markets.

The Faculty International Advisor (Global Partnerships) works closely with Faculty Leaders on the establishment, activation and ongoing growth of key partnerships. The Advisor provides expert advice and support on a variety of activities that support the University’s and Faculty’s broad international engagement agenda and is responsible for key aspects of management of the Faculty’s international partnerships and collaborations.

Working within a diverse and collaborative international education environment, the successful candidate will coordinate and contribute to the Faculty’s input into the Division of External Engagement’s partnership activities including delivering faculty-specific academic input, representation, and engagement to enhance the University’s international reputation.

The Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) holds an outstanding reputation for teaching, research, and quality graduates. Comprised of eight schools, 21 centres and five institutes, the Faculty of SET is responsible for teaching over 8,500 students across our three campuses, North Terrace, Waite and Roseworthy, and has an annual budget of $300 million. The Faculty is a significant contributor to the University’s research reputation, earning annual research revenue above $120 million. Many of our research areas have achieved a world-class research rating of 5 in the 2018 ERA rankings. The Faculty is responsible for teaching and research across wide range of disciplines including Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences, Architecture, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences, Agriculture, Food and Wine and Animal and Veterinary Science. To be successful you will need: 

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills; including the ability to provide high level advice, build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and promote a strong positive team culture.
  • High-level organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex administrative processes with efficiency and consistency (e.g. international agreement processes).
  • Demonstrated and well-developed cross-cultural communication and diplomacy skills including sourcing information, developing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and working with people from different levels of an organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks, implementing plans to achieve defined outcomes, and solving problems in an innovative and creative manner.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail and ability to contribute to writing reports and discussion/briefing papers.
