(HE05) $77,409 to $86,072 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

  • Two full-time fixed term contract until 31 December 2025 (part-time negotiable)

We are seeking two Project Officers to contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University. You will work for the University of Adelaide and be based in the Integration Management Office (IMO) in the Research & Research Training Domain.

About the role

We are seeking dynamic and organised Project Officers who are detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

You will play a crucial role in supporting the team in the Research & Research Training Domain by providing high level, project, and administrative support. You will support and coordinate a range of projects, provide support for working groups, committees and meetings with key stakeholders, and manage logistical requirements for all events, workshops, and activities for projects.

About the Domain

The Integration Management Office (IMO) has established functional areas which are referred to as Domains. Each Domain is responsible for executing tasks and producing deliverables that are crucial to the establishment of the new Adelaide University.

The Research and Research Training Domain will co-design and develop the research and research training strategy and operating model for Adelaide University, which conducts future-making research of global standing of scale and focus, through ‘signature research thematics’ and partnerships and collaboration with industry and the community. The Domain is structured around nine Workstreams and collaborates with other IMO Workstreams and Domains to deliver outcomes for Adelaide University.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide high level, project, and administrative support and support and coordinate a range of nominated projects.
  • Research and compile information for communications and assist in the preparation of presentations.
  • Collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative information and prepare and provide reports on performance and integration activities.
  • Support the preparation, presentation, and communication of high-quality documents.
  • Manage internal communications and work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a complex project environment requiring the development of strong collaborative working relationships across functional boundaries.
  • High-level administrative skills including experience providing project officer support to working groups, committees, and experience in developing and maintaining high level paper-based and electronic administrative systems.
  • Developed research and analytical skills and experience in the interpretation of information and the interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise and anticipate requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality correspondence and reports, to include a high-level attention to detail and the ability to provide editing and presentation assistance on a broad range of documentation.
