Fantastic opportunity for a highly organised Executive Assistant to provide support to the Defence and Security Institute and one of our Pro Vice Chancellor’s within the Division of Research and Innovation.

 

Working under general direction, the Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support to a Pro Vice-Chancellor and the Executive Director, Defence & Security Institute within the Division of Research and Innovation.

As an Executive Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative support, coordinating a wide array of tasks from diary management to overseeing significant international delegations. This position is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic environment and are adept at facilitating smooth operations within a bustling office setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive management of executive schedules, diaries and commitments.
  • Coordination of travel arrangements and logistics.

To be successful you will need:

  • High level organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage confidential or sensitive material against competing deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise judgement and use initiative to provide effective problem-solving solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated competence in the use of computer software and general administrative equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting with events, project coordination and training programs.

  • Australian Citizen- Must be eligible and willing to hold a security clearance.
