(HEO 4) $71,460 - $78,326 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation will apply.

Multiple full-time secondments/fixed term contracts until 31 December 2025 

Based in the Integration Management Office (IMO) in the Student Experience & Administration Domain in the Adelaide CBD 

About the role 

 As the Transition Support Adviser, you will play a key role in providing advice, assistance, and information to students and staff, focusing on administrative processes related to the transition to Adelaide University. As a first point of contact for student enquiries, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality service by addressing enquiries and requests related to transition study plans and 2026 enrolment processes.   

* This position, formally titled Transition Support Adviser, is advertised as Student Support Officer for broader industry recognition and alignment.    

Core Responsibilities 

  • Act as the first point of contact for students and staff enquiries regarding the transition to Adelaide University.  
  • Identify and address customer needs by building effective relationships, offering quality advice and assistance, and referring students to appropriate university support services as needed. 
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including liaising with a diverse range of staff across the University to deliver exceptional customer service. 
  • Utilise student systems and CRM platforms to access, update, and share accurate information with students and staff. 
  • Foster a highly responsive, customer-focused, and performance-driven service culture.

 Essential Skills and Experience 

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality, customer-focused services in fast-paced, multi-channel environments (e.g., phone, email, in-person) and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, including customers and colleagues. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly to diverse audiences.  
  • Proven experience managing a variety of administrative tasks efficiently and with attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accuracy. 
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, databases, and standard office software 
  • Flexibility to work across multiple campuses and adapt to new systems, processes and changing priorities in a dynamic environment. 
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, contributing to shared goals while taking initiative in individual tasks.
