Based in the Integration Management Office (IMO) in the Market & Partner Engagement Domain in the Adelaide CBD
We are seeking a Senior Project Officer to contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University. You will work for the University of Adelaide and be based in the Integration Management Office (IMO) in the Market & Partner Engagement Domain.
We are seeking an experienced senior project officer who has exceptional organisation and time management skills to work in a changing and fast paced environment. Your high level of initiative and problem solving skills allow you to work autonomously, and your excellent communication and interpersonal skills allow you to collaborate and work as part of a team. Your success in this role will be driven not only by your experience in managing complex projects but also by your ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
As the Senior Project Officer you will be responsible for leading the planning and delivery of projects in support of the Project Managers and Project Leads in the creation of the new Adelaide University. You will collaborate with cross-domains and cross-functional teams at both Universities and within the IMO, supporting project activity, and ensuring projects are delivered within scope, quality, schedule and budget. Additionally, you will assist project teams with complex administrative and technical tasks to assure the implementation and timely delivery of project activity, and you will be responsible for producing high-quality outputs, analysis, and establishing relationships by collaborating with colleagues from both Universities.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior IMO staff to provide coordination, oversight and execution of program deliverables, by:
- Support project progress according to timelines, milestones and deliverables in the project plan.
- Support the preparation and communication of high-quality reports, memorandums and presentations related to project delivery.
- Support working groups, committees and meetings with key stakeholders, including preparing and distributing meeting agendas, minute taking and follow up action items as require.
- Review and provide input to resourcing forecasts and plans to ensure that activity is supported.
- Act as the relevant reference point for the interpretation and application of the University’s policies and procedures for the Domain.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated project management skills with a proven record of successfully coordinating all aspects of large-scale and complex projects through to completion, in accordance with project management methodologies, reporting, timeframes, scope, quality, and budgets
- Ability to analyse information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, synthesise broad information and analyse at a strategic and detailed level
- Experience in applying effective problem-solving skills and being innovative and creative in generating solutions and facilitating workshops and discussion
- Highly developed relationship management skills, including the ability to interact, influence and negotiate with a wide range of senior stakeholders
About the Market & Partner Engagement Domain
The Market & Partner Engagement Domain is responsible for attracting expanded student cohorts from diverse markets, channels, and offerings, and to develop and transition a coordinated and integrated marketing, recruitment, communication and engagement plan for the new Adelaide University’s (AU) Day 1 2026 and beyond. In addition to key brand, marketing, recruitment and communication activities, the Domain oversees the development of a robust set of plans to support partner and stakeholder engagement across various markets and audiences.
