Full-time, fixed term contract until 31 December 2025

About the role

The UniSA Teaching Innovation Unit (TIU) and the UoA Learning Enhancement & Innovation (LEI) teams, will collaboratively create and lead Course Development Support Teams. These Teams, comprised of Subject Matter Experts: Curriculum & Pedagogy, Learning Designers, and Media specialists, are tasked with supporting Course Developers in developing courses for the new Adelaide University. 

As the Media Production and Resource Coordinator (AU Course Development), you will support the efficient execution of media projects to enable teaching and learning activities in the establishment of Adelaide University (AU). You will lead and manage the TIU/LEI Media Team members contributing to AU course development and will provide oversight of staff in both graphic design and video production foci. You will also assist in developing and managing administration needs associated with media production including production schedules, managing studio assets and bookings, and coordinating, including production schedules, studio assets and bookings, and  the Course Development media staff work allocations using project management tools. 

You will also work in collaboration with The Team Leader: Course Development Resources, and existing Managers within the respective Units, to ensure alignment of course development support activity within the Course Development Team and the overarching curriculum ambitions for Adelaide University outlined in the Adelaide Attainment Model.  The role also involves collaboration with the media Media teams Teams and academic staff across both University of South Australia (UniSA) and The University of Adelaide (UoA) to project manage media resource development timelines, and effectively communicate and coordinate these needs to the Media Team managers key stakeholders.

 Essential Skills and Experience  
  • Experience in leading and motivating a team, ensuring their output is efficient, on-time and accurate 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports and documentation 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience in project management, ideally in creative media, including developing production schedules, managing studio bookings, and resource allocation using project management tools 
  • Familiarity with media production equipment, software and processes including an understanding of logistics coordination for film production, equipment management, venue booking, transport coordination, and handling talent release forms and contracts
