(HE07) $95,017 - $106,270 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

2 year fixed term contract opportunity for a highly organised Centre Manager to join the Centre for Sustainable Operations and Resilient Supply Chain (CSORSC).

This position can be considered on a part-time (0.5/0.6FTE) or full-time basis.

Working under limited direction, the Centre Manager will be responsible for managing the research, stakeholder engagement and administrative operations of the Centre, including designing and  maintaining website, promotion of Centre through social media platforms, budget management and reporting and facilitating and fostering industry collaborations and communications.

This role will work closely with the Centre Director to drive the development of the research program and increase the scientific and public profile and research reputation of the Centre by organising presentations, seminars, and workshops which will include managing venue, travel and accommodation arrangements.

To be successful you will need:

  • Experience in all aspects of project management, with a proven record of successfully managing research or technical projects through to completion
  • Demonstrated experience working in a research/technical environment, including supporting research activities, and preparation and submission of project reports
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team and to develop collaborative teams working in both academic and commercial environments
  • Excellent technical writing skills with experience in writing for various audiences across a range of media, and managing web-sites and social media
  • Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with experience establishing priorities, allocating resources and meeting deadlines
  • Experience in working with industry, including managing industry relevant research & development projects, and engaging and negotiating with partners.
  • Knowledge of relevant major funding schemes (including ARC, CRC, ARENA)
