(HEO8) $106,561 to $119,550 (pro-rata) per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.  

Fixed-term position available at 0.9FTE for 2 years

Exciting role for a dedicated Senior HR Advisor to join a vibrant team providing HR advice to key stakeholders

Reporting to the Team Leader – HR Advisory, and working as part of a broader HR Team, the Senior Human Resources Advisor (HRA) is responsible for providing a proactive and pragmatic service to key stakeholders in relation to HR and Industrial relations advice regarding the University’s Enterprise Agreement, Employment conditions, and general policy advice.  In this role you will have a high degree of independent judgement, and will partner with Centres of Excellence across the HR Branch to leverage specialist skill sets, including Organisational Development, Workplace Relations and Health and Safety.

The Senior HRA will work closely with the Human Resource Manager of their portfolio group to provide additional support to key initiatives including workforce planning, talent management and general OD initiatives. The Senior HRA acts as a backup to the HRM, to support the delivery of generalist HR services. 

To be successful, you will need:

  • Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and delivering effective stakeholder-centric HR service, possessing highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills in order to liaise, consult, guide and influence a wide range of people at all levels within a complex organisation
  • Proven experience providing timely and expert HR policy advice to staff and managers, including interpretation of Enterprise Agreements, change activity and HR policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in proactively identify opportunities for improvement and implementing associated initiatives
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in effectively coaching leaders in people related matters
  • Generalist HR skills and experience to be able to support OD initiatives as required

 

HR experience within the Higher Education sector is desirable but not essential.
