Two ongoing positions available immediately.

Take on the responsibility for implementing new and enhancing existing functionality to meet the strategic needs of the university.

Receiving broad direction and working with a degree of autonomy, the Senior Developer is responsible for ongoing support, development and enhancement of the university's Integration platform and associated APIs. With extensive experience in the software integration, the role is responsible for implementing new and enhancing solutions that support enterprise application integration to meet the strategic needs of the university.

The Senior Developer (Integration) provides technical guidance and development of more junior staff members, by fostering good technology practices in software development and keeping current with emerging trends.

To be successful you will need:

  • 5+ years development experience in Java including Spring Boot.
  • Experience in open source integration framework (e.g. Apache Camel or equivalent).
  • Experience with modern approach to integration (e.g. REST APIs, microservices).
  • Desirable: Experience in using and configuring containerisation software like Kubernetes or Openshift and/or API management software (e.g. 3Scale or equivalent).
  • Experience with DevOps practices using CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins).
