Do you have strong leadership skills with experience of developing and implementing effective training and development plans?
We are seeking an experienced Capability Development Manager to join the Learning Enhancement and Innovation team at the University of Adelaide in a continuing role.
Working under broad direction with a degree of autonomy, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver skill enhancement and training for teaching staff to enable effective engagement and collaboration in course design, development, and delivery, across all teaching modes.
You will work closely with stakeholders to produce training and development plans to meet strategic needs and quality standards.
A key aspect of the role is to drive sustainable and scalable academic skill enhancement for learning design, development, and delivery.
To be successful you will need:
- Proven experience developing and implementing effective training and development plans, preferably in an academic setting, to meet diverse stakeholder and project needs.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading the development of cross team communication and interoperability to achieve successful outcomes.
- Proven experience in coaching and enabling others to effectively deliver actionable feedback to support academic skill development.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in training and development and learning and teaching.
- Experience in developing and implementing KPIs and using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience in using Agile principles and methodologies would be highly desirable, as would familiarity with relevant policies, regulations, and quality standards in the higher education sector.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and lead through influence and have demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
