The WR Advisor is responsible for the provision of workplace relations advice, and supports the resolution of workplace relations matters within the University.
The Workplace Relations Advisor provides research and administrative workplace relations support, coordinates workplace relations activities and assists in the development of workplace relations tools and materials.
In addition, the Workplace Relations Advisor provides support to the Manager, Workplace Relations and Case Management Advisors in the effective management and resolution of formal HR cases.
To be successful you will need:
- Knowledge of and experience working with federal employment legislation, case law, and ability to accurately interpret and pragmatically apply legislation and employment law in the workplace.
- Knowledge of industrial relations principles and frameworks.
- Demonstrated research and analytical skills appropriate to problem solving, analysis and review.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing demands and solve complex problems.
