Research Services is positioned within the Division of Research and Innovation and assists the University in achieving its goal of international distinction by providing support and assistance to the University’s Research community in relation to research ethics and compliance administration; research integrity; competitive research grant opportunities, research contracts and consultancies, research related reporting and data collections, including Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) and Engagement and Impact (E&I) as well as strategic advice.

Working under general direction the Research Administration Officer provides a range of administrative support and data management services within Research Services with a focus on research related reporting and publications data collections particularly focused on The Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) and Engagement and Impact (E&I).The responsibilities include data entry, monitoring and checking publications and assisting with the production of standard reports, filing, drafting standard correspondence and coordinating arrangements for meetings.

The successful candidate should have excellent attention to detail, experience in data entry and quality processes and good interpersonal and communication skills.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience with data entry and use of databases.
  • High level computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office suite of products in particular, spreadsheet functions for the collection and reporting of data.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain work accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
