Fixed term, full-time position until December 2024
Located in the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences Building, the Vascular Health in Pregnancy and Postpartum Group studies mechanisms regulating vascular adaptations during pregnancy, with a focus on uterine artery function and placental development, as well as offspring and postpartum cardiovascular health following a complicated pregnancy.
We are seeking a Research Officer with vascular biology skills to provide technical, research and administrative support to the Vascular Health in Pregnancy and Postpartum Group to ensure smooth and successful performance of the research program.
To be successful you will need:
- Practical experience in conducting experiments in mice and rats, with knowledge in animal ethics.
- Demonstrated skills in fine dissection of small resistance blood vessels and wire myography.
- Knowledge in the maintenance of laboratory equipment and materials, including disposal of waste and ordering supplies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines by setting priorities.
