Play a key role in providing a high quality, customer focused service to new and existing staff and visitors

The Team Leader, Appointments and Staff Mobility leads a team of staff providing support to staff appointments and mobility, both inbound and outbound. 

With previous experience of managing an HR Operations team in a similarly large and complex organisation you will manage a highly varied portfolio including staff appointments, staff mobility, position management and recruitment advertising.  You and your team will provide a responsive and customer focused service to our large customer base ensuring a high level of stakeholder communication and engagement across all levels within the organisation. You will ensure the consistency of the employer brand of the University is maintained through the management of effective and efficient recruitment advertising and support consistent position management principles across the University.

This role will also play a key part in the development of staff mobility procedures and processes, ensuring an effective and compliant operation for both inbound and outbound staff and visitors.This involves facilitating visa processes working with our external provider to achieve the best outcome for new and existing staff within the current immigration environment.

As a member of the HR Shared Services Leadership team, you will identify and implement business improvement opportunities within the portfolio. You will also contribute to key HR projects and actively participate in working and steering groups representing the HR branch.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience managing a HR Operations team in a large and complex organisation, including managing personal and team priorities.
  • Extensive experience with employee services administration and knowledge of the legislative frameworks in relation to contract administration, immigration requirements and other recruitment activity
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate and work collaboratively to develop creative solutions and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Ability to prioritise and work well within immovable timelines.
