The Internships Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the development of an institutional internships framework and for coordinating and facilitating internships, with a focus on computer science and mathematics, and multidisciplinary projects.
This operational role is responsible for using systems and processes to develop and maintain key relationships with internship host organisations. The Internships Coordinator is also responsible for service delivery of internships support to students and for ensuring that student care and experience is considered as paramount. The role will work closely with academic staff to ensure academic compliance of internship opportunities.
To be successful you will need:
- Proven experience in coordinating internships or a structured client/student experience program, preferably in a higher education environment.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with external stakeholders to develop ongoing, mutually beneficial relationships.
- Proven commitment to collaborative and consultative styles of working and demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with multiple stakeholders, facilitating complex discussions and negotiations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client centric results.
- Demonstrated high-level organisational and administrative skills, with acute record keeping and case management skills.
