We are seeking suitably qualified nursing staff to join our team who provide 24/7 nursing support to the clinical teaching veterinarians and general and emergency practice clinicians across a range of animal care related teaching and commercial activities.
This role provides an opportunity to advance your skill levels in areas of surgery, anaesthesia, patient care, emergency medicine and wellness clinics, taking you to the next level of your career. You will work alongside specialists and experts in their field from around the world giving you the ability to be involved in advanced treatment plans, surgery and procedures such as diagnostic imaging with digital X-ray equipment, CT and ultrasound.
The position is suited to a person with proven veterinary nursing experience in small animal clinical practice for a minimum of 3 years, who is enthusiastic and team-oriented with a passion for delivering the highest standards of service and care. The person will have the ability to work in high pressure situations, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be a motivator who will mentor the new generation of veterinarians by imparting knowledge and modelling the highest standards of professional behaviour is an important factor in enjoying this job.
The School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences provides world-class, outcome-based education and training of animal and veterinary scientists in a research environment. Based at the Roseworthy Campus, 50km north of the Adelaide CBD and minutes from Gawler, the School has a full-service Veterinary Health Centre teaching clinic, and a range of general purpose and specialist teaching and research facilities. The School offers four academic programs: Animal Science, Veterinary Bioscience, Veterinary Technology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).

To be successful you will need:
- Completion of a relevant certificate or combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently but participate cooperatively in team activities.
- Attention to detail in record keeping and documentation.
- Demonstrated experience and /or knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety.
- Demonstrated Veterinary nursing experience.
