Full-Time, 4 month fixed-term job opportunity available to commence January 2020

We are seeking an experienced payroll specialist to deliver client focussed payroll and superannuation administration services

The Payroll and Benefits Officer will be a knowledge base for employee entitlements, payroll and lifecycle processing activities and, statutory superannuation reporting.

The Officer will be responsible for the administration of payroll and benefits activities, daily reporting and the checking of variance to pay.  The Officer will ensure the provision of a customer focussed Human Resource (HR) payroll administration service to the University, including the maintenance of data integrity within the HR Information System.  In addition, the role will provide timely and accurate client services and advice in respect to employee entitlements and respond to enquiries coming from both the HR function and the broader University.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience with HR administration, payroll and superannuation administration and, using HR Information Systems.
  • Experience in interpretation of workplace agreements, HR policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and, a demonstrated commitment to client service and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure with competing priorities and deadlines.
