Opportunity to work within the Adelaide Health Simulation, the most technologically advanced simulation facility in Australasia

Working under general direction, the Simulation Technician provides support to Adelaide Health Simulation to deliver simulation-based inter-professional training designed to enhance safety and quality in healthcare delivery.

This position is expected to provide the setup and delivery of advanced simulation based education technology. The role includes troubleshooting, maintenance, performing basic repairs on simulation manikins and it also acts as an escalation point for technical issues. Adelaide Health Simulation is the only Australian simulation facility accredited with the Society for Simulation in Healthcare for excellence in learning and teaching and, delivering simulation-based inter-professional training designed to enhance quality in healthcare delivery.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Information Technology and networks including an interest in Electronics.
  • Proven experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client centric results.
  • Knowledge of stock control using a database coupled with strong administrative skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to develop and implement processes and plans to achieve defined outcomes and, solve problems in an innovative and creative manner.
