Companion Animal Emergency Critical Care 24/7 or General Practitioner weekdays.
The Companion Animal Health Centre at the Roseworthy Campus is seeking qualified veterinarians to express an interest in either week day General Practitioner roles or Emergency Critical Care positions.
General Practitioners are required to work weekdays on 8 hourly shifts in the primary opinion service which operates between 9am and 7:45pm Monday to Friday offering a range of services including vaccinations, desexing, wellness and preventative medicine, general surgical procedures and dentistry.
Emergency Critical Care veterinarians work 12 hour shifts in a 24/7 roster including weekends and public holidays. The position involves servicing intensive care hospitalised patients and consulting emergency cases.
The Companion Animal Health centre is an ASAV accredited hospital operating 24/7 providing first opinion, emergency and referral services.
These positions require a veterinarian with excellent communication skills and an interest in teaching, client interaction and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Veterinary students are involved in daily overnight and emergency services providing you with an opportunity to interact, train and develop future veterinarians.
Applicants must have:
- Relevant qualifications and be registrable by the Veterinary Surgeons Board of South Australia.
- Sound communication skills, both oral, written and interpersonal skills are also essential.
- Shifts will be available in block periods or individual shift.
- Accommodation provided on request.
- Consideration will be given to longer term candidates for car hire and flights.
