12-month fixed term, part-time position available
The University's Adelaide Centre for Epigenetics (ACE) is inviting applications for a part time Administration Coordinator.
This position will report to Professor Jose Polo, the Inaugural Director of the Adelaide Centre for Epigenetics (ACE). The Adelaide Centre for Epigenetics (ACE) is a centre within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, focusing on epigenetic research and cell fate, including studies on development, reprogramming, and cancer. ACE works closely with the South Australian Immunogenomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI), an independent medical research institute dedicated to cancer research, located in South Australia.
Working under general direction, the Administration Coordinator is responsible for providing dedicated executive support to the Director of ACE and EMBL Australia Scientific Head, Professor Jose M. Polo. This position supports the director in all aspects of office communication, including managing the electronic and manual systems, diary and travel coordination and drafting a wide range of correspondence. You’ll also play a key role in assisting other staff within the centre, contributing to a collaborative and innovative research culture.

To be successful you will need:
- Experience working in an executive support role, providing executive support and assistance to senior managers.
- Demonstrated evidence of efficient and responsive administrative skills, including the ability to effectively prioritise and manage work and handle confidential information in a busy environment.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to liaise and develop key relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience setting and meeting deadlines and providing a sound level administrative support function in a busy environment.
- Experience with the University administrative systems will be an advantage.
- Current valid National Police Clearance
