Quantitative research specialist with experience in primary care.

The Discipline of General Practice supports teaching, research, clinical practice and the development of better prevention and public health policies. This position for a Senior Statistician is to lead and coordinate quantitative data analyses and support other researchers' activities in the Discipline of General Practice. The research projects involve the use of large administrative datasets including de-identified medical records from primary care and other national databases involving primary care activities. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating the data analysis and reporting of these projects and will support the research team during the design and implementation of quantitative studies, especially in areas related to chronic disease prevention/management, pharmacoepidemiology and big data research. The successful candidate will also promote internal and external relationships with relevant research groups and stakeholders.

As Senior Statistician at the Adelaide Medical School, you will work with a team of clinicians, data scientists, qualitative researchers, and community representatives. 2. Demonstrated experience coordinating statistical analysis for health research projects and managing large health administrative databases (PBS, MBS, hospital data, primary care).
  3. Advanced data management and statistical skills, including software use (SAS, STATA) and analytical methods such as time-series and predictive modelling.
  4. Strong track record of high-quality publications and conference presentations in health research.
