The Division of Academic and Student Engagement (DASE) partners with students, staff and the broader community to deliver an outstanding student experience. At the heart of the student experience are transformational opportunities in learning and teaching.
The Student Experience branch within DASE is responsible for providing services that deliver an excellent student experience. This includes administrative and support services to students as well as service to, and partnership with, academic staff in the development of a high-quality, engaging and relevant learning environment.
The Student Experience branch is underpinned by two key foundations:
- Rich engagement with our student cohorts, clubs and societies to cultivate impactful partnerships; and
- Proactive student-centric support across the student lifecycle embedded in the learning and teaching experience to deliver increased student retention and success.
Student Administration provides responsive services and administration for students and academic staff in support of learning and teaching. The Student Administration unit includes Admission Operations (domestic and international), Coursework Scholarships, International Compliance, Timetabling and Planning, Enrolment, Systems and Student Data Collection, Examinations and Results and Graduations.
The Examinations and Results Officer is responsible for facilitating the administration of examination requests, lodgement and review, collection, processing Modified Assessment for Coursework Applications (MACA) Replacement Examination requests, providing logistic support, grade entry and amendments.
To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated experience and commitment in delivering customer-centric service, coupled with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities (previous experience working in a customer service role in the Higher Education industry is desirable but not essential).
- Ability to learn new systems and adopt to new technologies.
- Demonstrated organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage competing work tasks.
- Proven interpersonal and negotiating skills, where you can work constructively as part of a team to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
