About the Role
In this impactful role, you'll be at the forefront of our English Assist Program, designing and delivering essential support services to enhance academic communication skills for international students. From one-on-one support sessions to collaborative workshops, you'll lead the charge in making a real difference in students' lives!
What You'll Do
- Create effective, pedagogically sound resources to streamline English language programs, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
- Facilitate engaging sessions, workshops, and resources that cater to the diverse academic literacy needs of our student community.
- Work closely with academic and administrative teams to ensure seamless program delivery, and guide a small team of casual staff to success.
- Continuously assess program effectiveness and be a driving force behind strategic improvements, ensuring we meet the evolving needs of students.
Selection Criteria
- Experience coordinating and delivering high-quality English language support programs.
- Demonstrated high-level communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with academic staff, student services, and external partners. Proven ability to adapt communication styles to various audiences and influence outcomes to support academic success for diverse student cohorts.
- Knowledge of current English language and learning support approaches, pedagogical practices and the use of software tools to support language and learning development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Proven ability to develop and implement effective resources and initiatives that reflect the latest academic support strategies for diverse student cohorts.
- Demonstrated experience providing training, support, and constructive feedback to ensure high-quality service delivery. Proven ability to foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, and continuous learning.
Qualification/s:
- Completion of a TESOL qualification without subsequent relevant work experience; or
An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
