Casual Orthodontic Research Assistant position available from August 2024.

Casual rates apply (HEO5) $52.41 per hour.

The Adelaide Dental School is seeking university students or recent graduates with an applied interest, knowledge and understanding of rigorous research methodology. Applicants should have the ability to assist in planning and overseeing a randomised control trial. This includes the composition of a successful ethical approval application, associated written information such as consent forms, patient information sheets, questionnaires. Applicants should have the ability to assist in patient recruitment.

The ideal research assistant should be comfortable working with confidential dental datasets and demonstrate an organised approach to the collection and storage of data. The successful candidate should be willing to learn and able to work on-site to assist with data collection and progress reports.

General Role Requirements:

  • Excellent attendance and punctuality, especially for group discussions.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
