The Senior Marketing and Communications Officer aims to showcase the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences (ECMS)

Receiving general direction, the Senior Marketing and Communications Officer will collaboratively create and deliver high impact awareness and promotion, showcasing the faculty of ECMS across a range of internal and external platforms. This role will coordinate marketing campaigns, develop and manage local assets and deliver high quality digital and print communications in a fast paced environment. There will be a specific focus on the development of a strong communications culture and the coordination of strategic end-to-end projects. A high level of stakeholder engagement will be pivotal.

The Marketing, Engagement and Recruitment team develop, implement and manage a range of Marketing, Engagement and Recruitment platforms to expand the reach, influence and impact of our education and research offerings in the local and global community. We aim to be regarded as the education and research institute of choice, with our graduates and staff being known for their quality attributes and expertise which are sought after by Industry and government.

To be successful you will need:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain highly functional internal and external relationships and, work collaboratively to achieve required outcomes.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with strong copy writing ability and overall attention to detail in work undertaken.
  • Experience in coordinating digital and communications channels, platforms or projects with a focus on high quality outputs ensuring innovative and creative messaging which is high impact and relevant to the audience.
  • Experience in managing competing high pressure demands in a fast paced environment, with a focus on effective task prioritisation, time management and problem solving.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment fostering a positive high performing culture
