Fixed term position for 2 years
Lecturer position with an emphasis on interdisciplinary research, including a strong commercial component and, the use of cutting edge analytical science and separation technologies
The School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials are seeking a biological or bioprocess engineer / scientist with equivalent experience to work on process development for extracting valuable chemicals and macromolecules from biological materials, including food and agricultural waste, and marine sources. The successful applicant will be working with a diverse range of scientists and engineers with expertise in mass spectroscopy and process development.
To be successful you will need:
- PhD in Biological or Bioprocess Engineering, or Applied Biochemistry.
- Experience in mass spectroscopy.
- Experience in experimental design.
- Flexibility to work in different industry sectors; biopharmaceutics, food or agriculture.
- Demonstrated effective teaching techniques and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
