Two fixed term positions, for an initial period of 3 years available from 3 February 2020 or earlier

We are seeking Lecturers to undertake teaching and research in the field of media studies

The roles will teach into the Bachelor of Media program with a particular focus on the media production majors.

Applicants will need to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of current media industry practices and technologies, particularly in their focus areas and have the ability to supervise students in media and media industry research. 

The successful applicant’s excellent track record of scholarly activities will reflect international standards of media research, including research funding and consultancy activities.

To be successful you will need: 

  • PhD in Media Studies, or a closely aligned discipline.
  • Proven ability to teach and develop new curricula in one or more areas including CGI, Games, Video Production, Graphic Design or cognate fields.
  • Ability to supervise students in media and media industry research.
  • Ability to teach in a range of media production focused areas, including knowledge of industry practice, and proficiency in software and hardware used in these fields.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating teaching and developing new curricula in a range of areas of media practice and media studies.
