(HEO9) $111,077- $118,862 ($122,743 - $120,645 effective 2 March 2019) per annum plus an employer contribution of up to 17% may apply.

Lead strategic development of new business opportunities and relationships to grow sponsored students.

Continuing, Full-time position.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for growing sponsored students for the university. You will lead a small team to grow sponsor networks, manage sponsor relationships and support, promotion in key markets. You will identify and develop new markets and opportunities for sponsored students and borderless delivery. You will be responsible for supporting the university’s strategic borderless delivery initiatives leveraging various modes of delivery including offshore, blended learning and MOOC’s- (Massive Open Online Courses).

You will be required to travel (domestic and international) and have flexibility to work to deadlines involving work outside of standard hours.

To be successful you will need to have:

  • Substantial recruitment knowledge and experience in major international markets, especially those conducive to sponsorships
  • substantial knowledge of student sponsorship opportunities and awareness of delivery models and markets related to borderless delivery;
  • advanced understanding of internationalisation issues within higher education;
  • demonstrated experience in leadership and/or management roles, including effectively improving processes, identifying strategic opportunities, developing new initiatives, empowering others and leading through change;
  • experience in stakeholder engagement, developing and maintaining relationships, both internal and external to the organisation and enabling advancement by leveraging strategic relationships;
  • proven analytical and problem solving ability, using relevant information and good judgement to inform decisions.
