Join an exciting new international team at the University of Adelaide. We seek experienced, target-focused, innovative managers with a global mindset to help us identify and develop new business opportunities and expand international partnerships that drive growth in cohort student recruitment aligned with the University’s strategic objectives.

As Manager, International Business Development, you will contribute to attainment of the University’s international goals and objectives by delivering partnerships and other business development initiatives that increase student cohort recruitment opportunities for growth and diversity of the student body.

You will identify, establish and optimise revenue generating streams through institutional partnerships, identify and develop new recruitment channels and collaborations including transnational education opportunities.  You will also be responsible for providing market intel on trends and emerging opportunities in key markets, including over the horizon assessment of future opportunities.

The successful applicants shall undertake domestic and international travel and work outside of standard hours as required.

To be successful you will need:

  • A proven track record in strategically identifying new business opportunities and developing them through to implementation, and delivering outcomes consistently over a sustained period
  • An effective understanding of internationalisation issues related to recruitment within higher education
  • Experience in effectively improving processes, including to ensure compliance, and empowering others to do the same
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, developing and maintaining relationships, both internal and external to the organisation to leverage strategic relationships and achieve targets
