The Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Adelaide strives to develop a culture of high performance, collaboration and respect that attracts and nurtures exceptional talent to deliver excellence. We invite applications from suitably qualified women to join us as Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering in our School of Mechanical Engineering to drive research with profound impact and to participate in our vibrant learning environment.
In the most recent Excellence in Research for Australia evaluation the University of Adelaide was rated at 5, well above world standard, in both Mechanical Engineering and Materials Engineering. Focused on knowledge generation and technological development, the School delivers programs in an environment conducive to innovation. The successful candidate for this role will engage with industry to help position South Australia as Australia’s leader in the rapidly developing Space and Aerospace industries. You will also teach courses relevant to the School’s programs in aerospace engineering.
We seek a mechanical, mechatronic, sustainable energy, aeronautical, aerospace or other relevant engineer with:
- A PhD relevant to mechanical engineering
- Proven research track record in areas related to our research strengths
- Strong commitment to excellence in teaching
- Ability and experience to teach courses relevant to the School’s Programs in aerospace engineering.

The Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences celebrates diversity and has a range of programs available to support our staff and students in their academic lives. Salary: (Level B) $96,135 - $113,788 per annum.
Superannuation: An employer contribution of up to 17% applies.
Term of position: This fixed term position is available immediately for three years.
