The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is one of five faculties at the University of Adelaide. Comprised of five schools and a number of disciplines, research centres and institutes, the faculty is focused on education excellence and innovative research in the health sciences.

CADOSA (Coronary Angiography Database of South Australia) is a project funded by a grant provided by the National Heart Foundation (SA Division), the SA Government and the University of Adelaide.  CADOSA is a state wide registry in which all patients undergoing a coronary angiogram at any of the four major hospitals in Adelaide (Royal Adelaide Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, Lyell McEwin Hospital and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital) will be recorded into a multi-site database.

Working under general direction, the Research Assistant provides assistance and support to the CADOSA Study with the main focus being collecting confidential information from direct contact with patients and via case notes.  The Research Assistant will also provide support to the Project Data Manager and Project Administrator.

Casual salary rates of (HEO4, Step 1) $39.07 per hour applies

Superannuation: An employer contribution of 9.5% may apply.

Term of position: There are 1 -2 casual positions available immediately until 31 December 2018 working approximately on 25-35 hours per week.

Special conditions: The successful applicants must be available and willing to work across multiple sites. Please note that the successful applicants must be willing to undertake employment health screening and national police clearance as required by SA Health policy for clinical work.

Position requirements

To be successful you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of administrative support; including word processing, data entry, filing and photocopying
  • Proven experience in dealing with medical research teams and/or coordinating projects
  • Knowledge of Cardiology terminology
  • Demonstrated high level organisational and interpersonal skills
  • High ethical standards regarding patient confidentiality
