The External Relations branch comprises two units – the Advancement Office and Partnerships & Corporate Relations. The branch enhances the University’s success by fostering engagement and partnerships with alumni, industry, government and the community.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and energetic Events Support Officer to join our Communications and Events Team. Working under general direction, the Events Support Officer will work closely with the Events Coordinator in the planning, implementation and evaluation of events and activities across the External Relations branch.

The successful applicant may be required to work evenings and weekends at various times.

Salary: (HEO3) $53,941 - $61,214 per annum.

Superannuation: An employer contribution of 9.5% applies.

Term of position: This is a fixed-term, 12 month, full-time position available immediately.

Position requirements

To be successful you should have:

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask; working with competing deadlines with sound judgement and ability to prioritise work tasks.
  • Proficient computer literacy and the willingness to learn unfamiliar applications.
